The Popular Show Season Four Introduces the Soldiers Table

Since the launch of the fourth campaign, fresh DM Brennan Lee Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with deep backstory, a colorful mix of heroes, and a gripping narrative showcasing divine entities, fiends, and dark forces expanding in influence within Dol-Makjar.

Warning: Revealing details for the third episode of Campaign 4 are included.

The Warrior Group Unveiled

Episode 3 concluded with a huge suspense moment and introduced the initial group of characters who will split off from the primary party to embark on their own adventure, separate from the other two tables.

This warrior group features Teor Pridesire (played by Travis Willingham), Thimble (Laura Bailey), the fierce warrior (Whitney), Wicander Halovar (the player), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie Daymond).

Why Split the Party?

With an extensive roster, it was clear from the outset that maintaining everyone at the same party would be unworkable.

That’s why, the initial installments of the new season serve as an Prelude, intertwining the characters’ stories before branching into three separate parties: Warriors, Strategists, and Seekers.

Characteristics of the Combat Party

Per the Dungeon Master, the Soldiers table is for players who enjoy a typically action-packed battle-oriented narrative style where diplomatic options are scarce.

At first glance, characters like the reluctant priest Wicander Halovar might seem mismatched, but the actions of episode 3 demonstrate why these specific adventurers are best suited for the warrior group.

Reasons to Leave

To begin with, the group understands precisely where to proceed after a violent first encounter with the enemy group.

An old friend of Thjazi—whose passing kicked off the story’s plot—manipulated The Crow Keepers for his personal gain, breaking into Thjazi’s hideout, attacking Thimble, and stealing all the magical artifacts to auction.

The traitor then paid off his liabilities and escaped to a fortified location in the northern region, north of the urban center, with Teor’s brother hot on his heels.

Individual Reasons

Moreover, each member has a specific drive to leave the city Dol-Makjar:

  • The agile hero, as the close ally and trusted friend, seeks revenge.
  • Kattigan has experience in the northern area and warns that it is a hostile place.
  • Tyranny and The healer, having defied his family’s wishes to eliminate Teor and instead freed him, have no safe haven.
  • However, their status as important members in House Halovar could help the party access locations they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Furthermore, Teor swore a eternal obligation to The savior for his rescue and will now follow him wherever.

Pursued by Authorities

In addition, all of them are wanted by the powers that govern Dol-Makjar for a range of causes, making remaining behind no longer safe:

  • Thimble and The character are recognized lawbreakers.
  • The strong figure and The healer turned against the powerful family and the legion of demons they are allied with.
  • The target is targeted for elimination by House Halovar.

This leaves them little choice but to head to the remote area in quest for the traitor.

Future Episodes

Based on the latest episode’s Cooldown, we find out that the Soldiers table will be absent in the upcoming installment, leaving the remaining eight participants to assemble the Explorers and Schemers groups.

Audiences can anticipate discovering which characters will be assigned to which table in the story’s final introductory chapter, released on October 24.
